Power of Nature Books-Authors for Earth Day blogpost

When my good friend Brooke Bessesen asked me to write a post for the Authors for Earth Day blog, I was thrilled to share my passion of working with teachers and students inspiring them to become more aware of the natural world and its wonders. If you missed the post on the Authors for Earth Day blog, you can read it here. http://authorsforearthday.org/blog/?p=1575

As literacy lovers, we all know the power of a picture book. Exploration of the natural world can begin with lushly illustrated books and good read-alouds. Check out my bibliography of favorite nature books and share your favorites so that I can add them to the list. Then go outside and read the book to your child or students!
